I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
